I am interested on narratives of how professional design practice has been shaped in the past and how it might be be shaped in the future.
I have been awarded a PhD in Design History by the University of Brighton, for my research on the International Council of Graphic Design Associations (Icograda), but before becoming an academic, have worked professionally as a graphic designer and visual communicator in a small studio in Brazil, designing books, magazines and exhibitions.
