Biography

Ding is a researcher working in environmental media. She focuses on the global reality of ubiquitous computing and the field stations established for scientific observation, examining how celestial knowledge is grounded through terrestrial infrastructures and, in turn, reshapes land, environments, and human relationships with them. Her artistic practice brings together science fiction, games and data to construct an expanding fabulated universe, speculating on the connections between global satellite systems and earthly life.
