Deborah Carnegie

Biography

Deborah Carnegie is the School of Design and Technology Coordinator for the Diploma in Professional Studies at the London College of Fashion (LCF). After earning her bachelor's degree from the Surrey Institute of Art in 1994, Deborah started her women's wear business in 1997. She received a postgraduate degree in secondary education in 2009. In 2014, Deborah joined LCF, where she developed a placement curriculum to provide students with practical experience in the fashion industry. In 2024, she completed a master's degree in Academic Practice, focusing on the styles and trends of Black British women. Deborah is committed to creating an archive that celebrates Black women's fashion.
