Dr Corey Ford

Biography

Corey Ford is a Lecturer in Computer & Data Science at the Creative Computing Institute, University of the Arts London. Their research interests are in designing reflective interfaces for different creative user experiences (such as music or sketching), and how different technologies (such as AI) can support or hinder this. They completed their HCI Ph.D. from the UKRI AI and Music Centre for Doctoral Training on characterising reflection in music interaction. They are also the Early Career Advocate for the Computer Arts Society. Ford has published in leading computer science venues such as ACM CHI, ACM C&C, and ACM Computing Surveys. They are a Distinguished Reviewer for ACM TOCHI. They also have experience in conference and workshop organisation as chair of the Reflection in Creative Experience (RiCE) workshop series, as co-chair of the eXplainable AI for the Arts 3 workshop, as Poster and Demos Co-Chair for ACM C&C 2025 and 2026, and as Student Volunteer co-chair for ACM C&C 2023 and 2024.
