Catherine Smith

Biography

Previously a senior lecturer and course leader in the School of Design at London College of Communication, Catherine's current work is in professional development for educators across UAL. She leads the Creative Education team and supports colleagues in designing and conducting educational research.

Catherine set up and edited Spark: UAL’s Creative Teaching and Learning Journal and was a founder member of the Graphic Design Educators’ Network, the UK’s national subject association for graphic design.

Since 2023 she has been Treasurer for GLAD, the UK's Group for Learning in Art & Design Higher Education.
