Carmel Keren

Biography

Carmel is a PhD candidate at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London. Carmel is an artist-researcher with a background in architecture. Her research uses participatory practice and performance with young women to navigate the intersection of belonging and safety in urban public space. Her work is deeply site-specific and driven by addressing gender inequities in urban public space. Alongside her PhD, she works as a Placemaking Officer at the London Borough of Haringey.

Her research team is Dr Anna Macdonald (DoS) and Dr Adriana Cobo Corey.
