Biography
I am an academic, designer, filmmaker and producer who has worked with a mixture of architectural practices, design studios and public institutions including UAL, Victoria & Albert Museum, the BBC, Somerset House, Sam Jacob Studio, London Met and Aberrant Architecture. My craft is predominantly focused on developing experiential narratives of which I explore its many complexities and accessibilities via use of visual media, writing and drawing.I teach the Media Unit for BA Architecture students since 2019, with a focus on developing fundamental drawing, software workflows and graphical styles for the students as well as provide support on portfolio submissions and assessed studio design work. I graduated from the BA course here at CSM in 2018 where my final project garnered critical acclaim and was nominated for several awards including the RIBA Presidents Medal, the annual CSM Spatial Practices Knight Frank Award and the LMVH x Maison/0 Green Trail Sustainability Award of which the project was successful and won.
I have recently completed my post graduate studies in Film and Philosophy and I continue to support Central Saint Martins as an Associate Lecturer, coordinating term time teaching and the production of the end of year showcases. I have also been extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to represent Central Saint Martins on the BBC4 Documentary ‘Bauhaus Rules’ – a design challenge documentary celebrating 100 years of the Bauhaus School of Design. I have had the opportunity to work with award winning design studios such as Sam Jacob Studio and the in-house team at Somerset House on the successful, 'The Horror Show!' curated by BAFTA winning filmmakers Jane Pollard and Iain Forsyth.
I continue my Associate Lecturing duties at Central Saint Martins whilst supporting the college as an Hourly Support Staff member, alongside developing my design and production practice internally at CSM and LCF and on external projects also. Recently, I completed a cover role as a Specialist CAD Technician in Digital Media supporting my techinal colleagues and department for all CSM students. Being embedded in the technical resources allowed me to develop and advance my practice as a teaching staff member emphasising and proving Academic Capacity and Experience (ACE). Subsequently, I was nominated and shortlisted for two Arts Awards, in 2023/2024:
- Outstanding Teaching
- Outstanding Technical and Operational Support
