Aldrich Zhijun Pan

Biography

My formal name is Zhijun Pan (潘治君), and I am a researcher exploring the creative potential of AI in filmmaking and audience cognition, using multimodal AI models and HCI methods. My work combines computational approaches with user studies to understand how people perceive and engage with AI-mediated creative experiences.

My research on AI and its applications has been published in peer-reviewed journals and conferences across multiple disciplines. I was endorsed by the Royal Academy of Engineering in the Exceptional Talent category in 2025. Projects to which I have contributed have received awards from the Lumen Prize and the Red Dot Design Award, and have received an Honorary Mention at the Prix Ars Electronica.
