Adeena  Mey


Adeena Mey is a researcher. Through writing, editorial and curatorial projects, his research engages with the histories, theories and practices of the moving image, exhibition studies, cybernetics as well as East and Southeast Asian art histories. His exhibitions include 'Neo Geography I&II' (with Kyung Roh Bannwart, Centre d’art Neuchâtel, Switzerland and Post Territory Ujeongguk, Seoul, 2017); 'VideoArt Festival Locarno: A Prospective' (with François Bovier, Elisarion, Switzerland, 2019). He is Managing Editor of Afterall Journal and leads the Paul Mellon Centre-funded digital research project 'The Black Atlantic Museum'. He holds a PhD in Film History and Aesthetics and an MA in Science and Technology Studies from the University of Lausanne, Switzerland, and an MA in Aural and Visual Cultures from Goldsmiths College, University of London.
