Biography
Honorary Doctor
Film and TV director Peter Hoar has worked on several hit shows of recent years, including Channel 4’s It’s a Sin, The Umbrella Academy’s first season on Netflix, and Doctor Who: A Good Man Goes To War.
He most recently directed Nolly, a 3-part series created by Russell T Davies and starring Helena Bonham Carter, and directed the third episode of new HBO series The Last of Us, which has been called ‘one of the greatest episodes of TV drama in the modern era.’
Peter also launched detective drama Shetland for ITV Studios/BBC, starring acclaimed Scottish actor Douglas Henshall, which premiered to almost 7 million viewers.
