Having launched Dazed, Another, Pop, Love and Perfect magazines and worked as Fashion Director of The Face, Editor-at-Large of Interview and Contributing Fashion Director of W, Katie Grand is a powerhouse of fashion publishing. In over 30 years in the industry, she has gained a reputation for repeatedly discovering new talent, where the underground meets popular culture.
This year’s Daily Front Row Awards saw Grand presented with the Best Magazine award for Perfect, her fourth win at the ceremony. Her other award wins include Stylist of the year (2003) and the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator (2022) at the British Fashion Awards, Creative of the Year (2019) and Best September Issue (2016) at The Daily Front Row Awards; she is a previous recipient of Wall Street Journal’s Innovator of the Year (2011).
Grand has simultaneously worked on advertising campaigns, shows and exhibitions for Prada, Miu Miu, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Bottega Veneta, Armani and Dolce & Gabbana, among many others.
Forbes has described her as “the go-to arbiter of cool, a visionary”, and Tim Blanks, chief writer at The Business of Fashion, said, “her vision makes designers dream, and her superhuman energy is inspirational.”
