Wayne McGregor CBE is a multi-award-winning British choreographer and director.
He is Artistic Director of Studio Wayne McGregor, which encompasses his extensive creative collaborations across dance, film, music, visual art, technology and science; learning, artist support and research programmes; and his own touring ensemble Company Wayne McGregor (Resident Company of Sadler’s Wells).
McGregor is also Resident Choreographer at The Royal Ballet, the first choreographer in this role from a contemporary dance background. He is commissioned by and has works in the repertories of the world’s most important ballet companies including Paris Opera Ballet, ABT, Bolshoi Ballet, NYCB, NDT1, Munich Ballet, Alvin Ailey, Royal Danish Ballet and San Francisco Ballet. He is in high demand to choreograph for theatre, opera, film, music videos, fashion, TV and site-specific performances.
McGregor is Professor of Choreography at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. He has Honorary Doctorates of Science and Letters from Plymouth University and University of Leeds. A multiple award winner, McGregor was awarded a CBE for Services to Dance in 2011.
