The Global Academy

The Global Academy is a state-of-the-art facility designed to equip students with the technical skills they need to get ahead in the broadcast and digital media industry.

Global, the media and entertainment company behind some of the UK's best-loved radio stations, are also the driving force behind the school. The Global Academy prepares students for jobs in radio and TV production, broadcast engineering, app and web development, script writing, event management, radio production, broadcast journalism and more.

The brand new facility, built on the former site of the Old Vinyl Factory in Middlesex, opened its doors to the first cohort of students in September 2016. The state school is equipped with the latest industry standard media equipment and studios, theatre and four-storey atrium space.

UAL Awarding Body is thrilled to be the education partner for the Global Academy. Students at the Academy study a combination of academic and vocational subjects including GCSEs, A levels and our Level 3 Diploma and Extended Diploma in Creative Media Production & Technology.
