During a visit to the US, University of the Arts London (UAL) Vice-Chancellor, Nigel Carrington was delighted to have the opportunity to meet members of both our East and West Coast Alumni Associations, along with UAL Pro Vice-Chancellor and Head of London College of Communication (LCC), Natalie Brett.
The first stop was New York and up to the 44th floor of the Hearst Tower in the heart of Manhattan. Alumni enjoyed the impressive views and the opportunity to network and catch-up with UAL friends. Nigel Carrington gave special thanks to Bruce Reynolds, East Coast Alumni Association President, and his fellow committee members for helping build and strengthen our local alumni community. Thanks also went to LCC alumnus Nick Brien and his team at iCrossing for allowing us use of Hearst Tower and his generous support of UAL alumni activity.
Bruce is currently planning the next alumni event at Soho House in the Meatpacking District on 22 November. Join their Facebook group to keep up-to-date with the latest information on forthcoming alumni activity.

Two days later, the team landed in Los Angeles to host a special evening at Wallspace Gallery in Hollywood. Angie Stimson, President of the West Coast Alumni Association, has been doing a great job over the past number of years in bringing together the LA Alumni community, especially through her work organising the annual London Transplants exhibition.
This fun evening was a great opportunity to update alumni on UAL news, develop new friendships and business contacts and develop the UAL LA creative network.

At both events Nigel Carrington and Natalie Brett enjoyed hearing of the many ways UAL graduates feel they benefit from being part one of our international alumni communities.
