Once again London College of Communication (LCC) dominates the selection for The Photographers’ Gallery’s FreshFaced+WildEyed competition for recent UK photography graduates. No fewer than five alumni from LCC’s BA (Hons) Photography, MA Photography and MA Photojournalism & Documentary Photography courses feature in the 2013 exhibition, which you can see until 21 July at The Photographer’s Gallery on Oxford Street.
Brett Rogers, Director, The Photographers’ Gallery, and a member of the judging panel said: The judges were overwhelmed with the exceptional range of work presented to FreshFaced+WildEyed again this year. They deliberated long and hard to select the twenty-two finalists, all of whose work they felt reflected the strength of UK photographic education over the recent year.
Last year, in 2012 no fewer than six LCC graduates featured in the exhibition, there were five in 2011, and in 2010 eight LCC Photographers were picked for the exhibition, which aims to draw attention to innovative new talents from a range of photographic fields.
