We’re looking for alumni volunteers to contribute to a series of online events throughout 2021 to help support students and recent graduates navigate their next steps. Each of our ‘Getting into…’ talks will be themed around a course taught at UAL. As part of a small panel, you’ll share highs, lows and top tips on how to get into your sector.

We’re really interested to hear about your journey to what you’re doing now; you might work in PR and Communications having studied Photography, be working as an Art Teacher having studied Spatial Design, or be working in a completely different sector utilising your creative energy!

Talks:

The events will take place throughout 2021, and will be based around the following themes:

  • Fine Art
  • Visual communication (e.g. graphics, illustration, communication, advertising, branding)
  • Animation, interactive, film and games
  • Photography
  • Theatre, screen and performance
  • Teaching and arts education
  • Product, industrial, 3D and materials
  • Journalism, PR and marketing
  • Fashion, textiles and accessories
  • Architecture, interior and spatial

If you studied on any of the above courses at UAL, and are interested in being involved in a panel discussion about your career since then please do get in touch. We’re particularly keen to hear from anyone who’s working ‘in-house’ and those who are working in non-creative industries.

What it involves from you:

Speakers usually have at least 3 years’ experience and the average time commitment is around 5 hours, including pre-and-post event preparation. Once you’ve registered your interest we’ll let you know when an opportunity comes up. If you think you can inspire UAL’s network then get in touch!

How to get involved

It's really easy, just email alumni@arts.ac.uk with your UAL Alumni ID number and tell us about your career to date.
