While LCC’s Summer Shows 2014 were split between the School of Media and the School of Design, a single visual identity had to be designed for the whole Summer Shows season.
This massive task was the responsibility of designer and LCC alumnus James Gilpin, who wanted to reflect the breadth of creativity and physical resources within the College buildings.
We were very happy to see such a great reaction to his work, particularly the printed invitations!

Invitations sent, the School of Design took over a huge number of rooms and gallery spaces in order to showcase its diverse range of courses.
The show ran for a week in late June, and the Private View on Thursday 19 June was jam-packed with industry, press and students’ friends and family.
One BA (Hons) Interaction and Moving Image exhibit strung across the Atrium was a particular hit with visitors.
Courses exhibiting elsewhere in the College were BA (Hons)/FdA Animation, BA (Hons) Books Arts and Design, BA (Hons)/FdA Design for Graphic Communication, BA (Hons) Digital Media Design, BA (Hons)/FdA Games Design, BA (Hons) Graphic and Media Design, BA (Hons) Illustration and Visual Media, BA (Hons)/FdA Interior Design and BA (Hons)/FdA Surface Design.
At an Alumni Celebration Evening hosted by Pro-Vice Chancellor and Head of College Natalie Brett, LCC graduates old and new were invited to reconnect with the College, meet old friends and tour the exhibition.
Congratulations once again to all staff and students who played a part in LCC Summer Shows 2014. Below are some of the ways you can relive the excitement until Summer Shows 2015!
