Xavier Llarch Font

Spatial Practices Programme; 3D Design and Public Engagement Tutor, MA Narrative Environments.

Xavier Llarch Font is a spatial designer. He studied at Elisava School of Design and Engineering in Barcelona and at Central Saint Martins.

In 2010 he co-founded The Decorators, an interdisciplinary art and architecture collective based in London. The Decorators specialise in developing unique objects and strategies that interrogate people's engagement with their environments. They have worked with local authorities, public bodies and cultural institutions, using temporary architecture to challenge the way public space is shaped, perceived and used.

Relevant projects include Ridley’s Restaurant (2011), Cottrell House Enterprise Space (2012) and Chrisp Street On Air (2014), with clients such as LB Tower Hamlets, BMWi and the V&A Museum. The Decorators have recently been selected to be part of the specialist assistant team for the Greater London Authority's new high street fund.

Xavier is also an associate lecturer for FdA Interior Design and visiting tutor for BA Interior and Spatial Design at Chelsea College of Art.
