John Prince's Street runs parallel with Regent Street, just off Oxford Circus. This area is famed for being one of Europe's most popular shopping destinations. It's also home to numerous cafes, bars and restaurants and galleries including The Photographers Gallery. Soho, Carnaby Street, Marble Arch, Covent Garden and Hyde Park are all nearby.

Accessibility

Entry: The main entrance to JPS is accessed via a lift or 36 steps.

Circulation: There are six floors in total, with lifts or stairs for all building users.

Special facilities: An adapted lavatory is available on the 1st floor.

The RHS space has an Sennheiser Infra-red transmission system. Please contact Media Services before you visit us if you would like to use the system: mediabooking@fashion.arts.ac.uk

The LCF library staff have a number of resources for disabled users. This includes:

  • Disability PC
  • Camera Magnifier
  • Large Screen
  • Hearing Loop

This site has a Deaf Message Service. Registered users will receive a text message when the fire alarm sounds. Please contact the Assistant Facilities Manager (details below) for details of how to register your mobile phone. 

Access restrictions: Please note that the 6th floor cannot be accessed via the lifts. Please contact us in advance if you would like to visit these areas (3D workshop, Prosthetics workshop, some teaching and meeting rooms).

All other areas of JPS can be accessed, however egress is limited. Please contact us in advance of your visit if you would need assistance to leave in an emergency.
