The Kering Partnership
In October 2014, François-Henri Pinault announced Kering’s five year partnership with LCF’s Centre for Sustainable Fashion. The partnership includes a talk each year, an annual Kering Award for Sustainable Fashion and a joint curriculum unit.
Kering Award for Sustainable Fashion
The Kering Award has been developed by the Centre for Sustainable Fashion at London College of Fashion and is part of a five-year partnership to support sustainable design and viable innovation in the fashion industry.
Both Kering and London College of Fashion recognise sustainability as the greatest creative challenge and imperative of our time. Through our partnership, we bring together the knowledge and expertise of academia and industry to empower imagination with the goal of shaping a better future through fashion. This partnership offers an unparalleled opportunity to identify and honour exceptional student work from London College of Fashion, which demonstrates imagination, creative excellence and sustainable innovation.
François-Henri Pinault, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors at Kering, delivered the inaugural Kering Talk at London College of Fashion on 29 October, outlining the importance of this partnership. Watch the full film of the first Kering Talk on Replay.
The Kering Award is an opportunity for final year undergraduate and masters students at London College of Fashion to engage with business and design leaders, and to be offered insight in to two of their brands.
The Kering Award will be granted to two students for excellence in the areas of fashion design and technology, fashion management and science, and fashion media and communication. There will be two prizes of €10,000 and placements within the Kering brands for the winning students.
Students can find all the details of how to apply for the Kering Award on the Intranet, within Careers and Employability > LCF Careers > Competitions > Kering Award.
