    UAL pledges bold action to reach comprehensive net zero by 2040

    UAL is leading the way for higher education in the UK with a bold pledge to achieve net zero across our total carbon footprint by 2040 - accelerating our response to the climate emergency. It covers the university’s full indirect emissions, including the supply chain and international student travel, as well as direct emissions.

    UAL Bilbao partnership continues with 2021 Summer Schools

    Bilbao has launched 2021 summer courses open to the city’s public, hosted jointly by 3 of the city’s universities - the University of the Basque Country, University of Deusto, IED Kunsthal - and UAL. Chelsea College of Arts, London College of Communication and London College of Fashion will co-teach the Summer Schools exploring design and the silver economy; photographing with communities and fashion law and management.

    Academic Futures: increasing diversity among academic staff

    Academic Futures is UAL's recruitment campaign to increase diversity among lecturers and senior lecturers across the university. Fifty eight academic posts in a range of subject areas across all 6 Colleges are now open for application on UAL Jobs and we encourage applications from people across all sections of our diverse communities.

    Culture Box Study: an interview with Hannah Zeilig and Julian West

    The Culture Box project designs and distributes bespoke culture boxes to people with dementia in care homes. We caught up with Hannah and Julian to discuss the research ahead of next week's online event about the project.

    Decolonising Arts Institute welcomes researchers on 3 collaborative residency projects

    Work has started on 3 Decolonising Arts Institute residency programmes in 2021 that will introduce new decolonial interventions into the archives and collections of UAL, iniva (Institute for International Visual Arts) and 3 major UK art collections: Arts Council Collection, British Council Collection and Manchester Art Gallery Collections.
