UAL believes that widening participation to higher education is essential for the future of our creative industries and society as a whole.

UAL Insights is the University’s outreach programme

Not everyone has equal opportunity to enter higher education. We want to change this through UAL Insights.

We offer creative activities for students aged 13-16 and 16+. We focus on pre-university advice and guidance.

Creative university life should feel relatable, accessible and exciting to everyone. Through our programmes we explore different ways of doing, thinking and making work. Our vibrant community of students, tutors and graduates provide a great support network. They empower students to make positive choices about their creative education.

We work with Greater London partner schools, FE Colleges, and community organisations.

Students taking part must meet our eligibility criteria.

Change in action

Outreach work closely with the Development and Student Funding team to secure funding for Insights students when they enrol onto UAL courses. There are a number of Insights bursaries allocated to each College and we're proud to have the support of the Hegarty Foundation and Gucci Changemakers.
