UAL Level 2 Award and Diploma in Music Performance and Production

The UAL Level 2 Award and Diploma in Music Performance and Production has been developed to provide students with an understanding of music performance and production as a collaborative activity and prepare them for the reality of the sector, progression and paths available to them.

The qualification has been designed for students who have an interest in music performance and/or music production or a related subject who wish to explore and extend this interest via a full-time, immersive learning experience.

As of the annual funding confirmation for 2022/34, the Diploma sized version of this qualification will remain fully funded from August 2022. The Award will have funding removed from August 2022 in England. We recommend that centres delivering this qualification in England transfer learners to the Diploma in order to retain funding. Centres can also choose to continue registering students for the Award without funding.

This qualification has been developed in collaboration with subject practitioners and further education colleges to ensure that it provides learners with the skills, knowledge and understanding needed to prepare learners for employment and/or support a role in the workplace.
