Teaching and Learning Fund

The Teaching and Learning Exchange is excited to announce its 2016-17 funding round. This year we have consolidated our entire curriculum focused funding into a single call with 1 application form.

Application deadline

Applications are now closed and will reopen later in 2017. 

The aim of this funding is to support colleagues and students from across the University to improve and enhance the student experience. We would like you to do one or more of the following:

  • Challenge yourself and others
  • Experiment with approaches to teaching and learning whether craft or digital or the intersection of both
  • Embrace opportunities for enhancing and valuing diversity, widening participation, student enterprise and employability and/or sustainability literacy
  • Improve the learning experience through research-informed teaching

Proposed projects should make interventions that improve the student experience and should either be embedded in course curriculum or closely linked.

Staff eligibility

To apply for this funding you must

  • Be employed by the University Arts London as either full-time or fractional member of staff (minimum 100 hours) 
  • Are encouraged to be either a Fellow of the HEA or have a joint application with a Fellow

Student eligibility

To apply for this funding you must

  • Be a student of the University of the Arts London
  • Be on an accredited course that leads to a qualification e.g. Foundation Diploma, BA (Hons), Pg. Cert., Masters or PhD
  • Apply with a member of staff for student-staff collaboration

Applications will be judged against the following criteria

  • Potential for significant impact on student experience relative to scale of the project
  • Capacity to support the achievement of University aims
  • Scholarly informed and capable of being evaluated, documented and shared
  • Potential to build capacity of applicant(s) and/or leads to curriculum innovation
  • Viable and represents good value for money
