This course will teach you the craft of creating copy for advertising and marketing communications. It will cover the basics of writing persuasive copy and give you tips and tricks for coming up with ideas. You will take part in writing exercises and tackle briefs that will open up your writing potential so that you can create copy with confidence.

This course will be taught over University of the Arts London's online platform. Each session will last between one and two and a half hours, home work assignments may be set for completion between classes. Andrew Imrie graduated from Watford School of Art with a Diploma in Copywriting 35 years ago. During his career he has been a junior copywriter at Lowes, a group head at Euros, and a creative director at JWT. He has also had experience of running two of his own agencies.

In 1998, he became the UK Executive Creative Director for the Scholz & Friends Group; the fastest growing Agency network in Europe. Since 2009 Steve has been the consultant Creative Director and Creative & Communications Strategist for The Wireless Theatre Company, Great Productions, VL-London, ISM and Team Network Limited.
