Elise Valmorbida is a graduate in English literature, an experienced teacher and commercial copywriter. Her published works include non-fiction - The Book of Happy Endings (2007) - and three novels - Matilde Waltzing (1997), The TV President (2008) and The Winding Stick (2009). Many of her short stories have been published internationally. She is the script consultant and producer of award-winning Britfilm SAXON (released 2009). Elise is on the Board of writers' organisation 26 and is External Examiner for the MA in Professional Writing at Falmouth University. She is a member of English PEN and The Society of Authors.
