Teaching and Learning strategy

This strategy, supported by staff and students working across University of the Arts London's colleges, sets out our ambition in relation to learning, teaching and enhancement.

Exceptional teaching is at the heart of our ambition to be an internationally renowned institution for creative arts education. At UAL, students’ learning will be developed and enhanced by exceptional creative teaching, enriched by research, industry and scholarship. This strategy applies to all our teaching from Foundation Diploma to Research Degrees and it acknowledges differences in approaches in levels and disciplines.

Priority 1: Reward and Recognition

We will promote teaching excellence through a systematic approach to recruitment, reward and recognition.

Priority 2: Creative Curricula

We will develop and offer creative, curious, critical curricula.

Priority 3: Digital Futures

We will embed the digital within all aspects of teaching and learning to prepare students for digital futures.

Priority 4: Inclusivity

We will deliver inclusive teaching and learning.

Priority 5: Employability

We will enhance students’ employability.
