Tansy Hamley: An Indian Traffic Jam

Funded by the REFRESH programme, Tansy Hamley (Specialist Technician in Print and Dye at Central Saint Martins) went to Jaipur in 2016 to take part in a course called Wonderful Workshops where she learnt about dhabu mud resist printing, woodblock printing and indigo vat dyeing.

Tansy is exhibiting a technical snapshot of the works she has created since. Through traditional screen-printing, digital sublimation printing and laser-etched block printing to jacquard loom weaving and Stoll knitting samples, she has been producing work demonstrating the possibilities of working across disciplines within the Fashion and Textiles spectrum.
