Join this online session to find out how you can create a portfolio and CV with impact and stand out from the crowd.

Creatives need an engaging portfolio and CV which communicates to their audiences and future employers, and shows off their creativity, ideas and experiences. As well as good images and text, the key is good editing, presentation and curation of your work.

At this session find out how you can make a greater impact and stand out from your competitors.


This session will cover:

  • What you should include in a portfolio and CV and how and why you should edit it down
  • How to best tell your story and communicate your concepts and process
  • Digital formats, platforms and tools for creating and sharing
  • Good examples
  • Tips about language, photography, images and design

Speaker bio

Lewis Rivers FHEA is a career development educator and researcher working as Employability Practitioner for CCW and CCI. Lewis’s academic background involves consulting on, developing, and delivering bespoke employability workshops, for students and staff at UAL, that centre diverse and inclusive recruitment practices. Lewis is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and is currently studying an MA in Academic Practice in Art, Design and Communication at UAL.

Taking place on campus and online, these events and activities support the preparation, presentation and professional skills final year students need to make a success of their final show. Sessions are delivered by creative industry professionals, expert advisers and UAL Careers and Employability staff.
