Imagining Dystopia: How We Might Live

A performative panel discussion, led by artist Eva Sajovic as part of the exhibition Bauhaus: Utopia in Crisis which coincides with Bauhaus 100, the international celebration of the renowned art and design school’s centenary.

Eva Sajovic is a Slovene born artist photographer, living and working in London. Her focus is on socially engaged, participatory practice through which she explores the drivers of global displacement such as regeneration, poverty, trafficking, culture and climate change.

Her practice covers two strands: participatory social action projects (for example skill exchange project The People’s Bureau, based in Elephant & Castle) and Photographic social portraiture, where she collaborates closely with the subject to construct the image.

Sajovic exhibits internationally and had her work commissioned by Tate, Whitechapel Gallery, The National Archives, Ffotogallery, Cuming museum, 198 Contemporary Arts and Learning, 47/04, PARC, Siobhan DaviesDance; and supported by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation, Joseph Rowntree Foundation, the Heritage Lottery Fund, Arts Council England, the European Commission, DaratAl Funun Foundation, University of The Arts and the Ministry of Culture Slovenia.

She is an associate lecturer at UAL’s Central Saint Martins and theory lecturer at Chelsea College of Arts.

This event is free and open to all. Please book to reserve your place.
