Hair Matters (MA Culture, Criticism and Curation final project)

MA Culture, Criticism and Curation in collaboration with vFd presents Hair Matters, an exhibition that examines the social and cultural symbolism of hair in the 21st century. Through a queer lens, the artists in this exhibition explore the significance of hair through protest, critique, humour and uninhibited self-love. By taking this queer statement onto the streets of Dalston, this exhibition will take the message of hair as a politically charged symbol of identity to a series of public locations - from barber shops and laundrettes to cinemas.
