This exhibition of work by CCW PhD students aims to showcase the visibility of the innovative and exploratory research within practice-based PhD candidates. Together we hope to provide shared insights about what is proposed within postgraduate art education and the increasing rise of research contexts available today.
The themes approached in the exhibition will range over place as an investigation of identity or social justice, the role of hospitality in entering or building communities, the artwork as a vector for contested identity or as a site of psychological investment, or even the question of authenticity and appropriation of this medium. The exhibition will show how broadly CCW practice research ranges and where these approaches converge and meet.
The exhibition is open on Monday 4 May 2020 and Tuesday 5 May 2020.
Join us on Monday 4 May 2020 (6pm to 8pm) for a drinks reception in the gallery.
This exhibition is the initiative of Dr Mo Throp & Dr Stephen Wilson and is supported by Post-Grad Community and the UAL Teaching and Learning Fund.
