Be your own boss; the A to Z of freelancing

You've got creative talent and self-discipline but you're going to need more than that to sustain a freelance practise. If you are you considering taking on some freelance work alongside your course, or hoping to work as a freelancer post-graduation. If you want to know more about working on paid projects or contracts, what exactly freelancing is and how to develop your own freelance practise then read on…

Be your own boss: the A to Z of freelancing is a new series of practical sessions, brought to you by Careers and Employability. The five sessions will cover everything you need to consider when starting out as a creative freelancer, including: understanding what freelancing means, essential information on setting up, finding clients and work, successfully promoting what you do and taking care of your finances.

Our Enterprise Practitioner will take you through all aspects of running a successful freelancing practise and industry guest speakers and alumni will provide vital insights into how they manage and sustain their freelance work. We’ll work from real-life examples, case study insights and you’ll also get easy-to-use templates and useful links and top tips.
