Adobe Photoshop for Photographers: Intermediate
Photographers, designers and artists regard Adobe Photoshop as the optimum platform for image making, retouching and manipulation. This course will show you how you can use some of the advanced features of the software to creatively enhance your images.
- Raw files: processing, advantages and how to handle them correctly

By the end of this course you should be able to:
- Process Raw files and understand issues regarding archiving your work
- Apply your own creative approach to working in the digital environment using the tools in Photoshop
- Combine files to make new images
- Utilise masks and adjustment layers to allow a higher degree of adjustment and control
Who Should Attend
Photographers wishing to build on their present skills and knowledge to understand the theory and practice of setting up a profiled digital workflow, processing images and using the Photoshop tools to enhance their work.
Intermediate: You should have experience of using Adobe Photoshop or have completed Adobe Photoshop for Photographers: Beginners at LCC.

Rick Cordell has extensive knowledge and experience of editorial design and photography. He has lectured at the University of the Arts London for over 14 years. He worked on the the BA (Hons) Magazine Publishing course for 10 years where subjects included magazine design and production, editorial photography and content generation. He has taught many short courses including Photoshop, InDesign and stop motion animation.
He is also a sessional tutor for the borough of Tower Hamlets’ IdeaStore Learning, teaching many aspects of photography including courses in portrait, product and digital photography as well as traditional darkroom techniques.
Prior to teaching Rick ran his own successful business specialising in editorial and corporate portraiture. He was commissioned both nationally and internationally by many of London’s leading design groups and his corporate executive portraits made him a frequent visitor to many of of capital’s top FTSE 100 company boardrooms.
He is currently working, in collaboration with a colleague, to establish a video production company that specialises in short video films and embraces the exciting trend towards the moving image, focusing on its importance in corporate communication and social media.
This course will be taught by a respected industry expert.
