
English for the Creative Industries (Online)
This course is ideal if you want to improve your English in an art and design context and:
You are an art/design student, or you want to apply to UAL / another university,
Or
You work, or aspire to work in a creative industry,
Or
You have an interest in art and design,
And
You want to study at a world-renowned, high-ranking university.

English level
This course has 2 levels:
Lower
Equivalent to:
- CEFR A2-B1
- Pre-intermediate / lower-intermediate
- IELTS 4.5-5
Higher
Equivalent to:
- CEFR B1+-B2
- Intermediate / upper-intermediate
- IELTS 5.5 +
When you apply for the course, you will have an online interview with one of our teachers who will then assign your level. You do not need an IELTS score to apply.

Course assessment
At the end of the course you will write an assignment and give a presentation as part of your final project. You will receive a Record of Study and Achievement certificate with your grades for this project. You will also be given feedback on your project.
Hours a week
15 hours a week for 12 weeks. This includes:
- 10 hours of live classes: 10am – 12pm GMT Monday to Friday.
- 5 hours of independent learning.
