Sketching With Wacom Tablet (Weekend)
If you already have some experience of Photoshop but want to push your skills to learn how to sketch up ideas using a Wacom tablet, this is the course to take your skills to the next level.
During the course you will undertake some warm up drawing exercises covering a variety of areas.
- Photoshop tools for sketching
- brushes and eraser
- colour, shapes and volume
- lighting and shadows
- proportion and measuring
- working with layers and layer masks
- tonal drawing: masking, gradients, burn and dodge, adjustment layers
- surfaces and reflections
- working with scanned drawings
- working with photographs as a source
Entry requirements: Some previous experience of Photoshop.
Please note: This course is for students aged 18 and older
Lucy Newman has worked extensively in the design industry, in TV, feature film titles, animation, heritage (British Museum) and corporate communications on a wide variety of creative projects. She has taught many short courses in London art colleges. (RCA, CSM, Chelsea, London Met). Lucy Newman (MARCA) began her creative career at Chelsea and RCA in Fine Art.
Since graduating from the RCA in 1994 Michelle has worked as an animation director and designer. She has worked on several title sequences for feature films through the production company Voodoodog who she continues to work with and also teaches on the BA Graphics course at Central Saint Martins.
