Orientation To Art And Design

Central Saint Martins
Taught by
Martin Blake, with others

Congratulations on being accepted to the Orientation to Art and Design

You can book your place by adding the course to your basket below and following the prompts to payment. Please only book a space on the course if you have been offered a place.

If you have not been offered a place on the course you will need to apply for a place by sending in your portfolio and application form. You can do that from the Orientation to Art and Design course page.

The Orientation to Art and Design has been carefully created to help students with little art and design education to bridge the gap between their current skill level and the experience and knowledge required to gain access to the Foundation Diploma in Art and Design (or other equivalent course).

Please note: This course is for students aged 17 and older

Tutor Description

Martin Blake studied Fine Art Painting at Central Saint Martins. His current work is inspired by a mixture of architectural ground plan and constructivist approach to composition; the resulting works are wooden constructions which can be wall or floor mounted. In this way they combine both Painting and Sculptural ideas. Martin has exhibited his work in both single and group shows, his last solo show was at The Sassoon Gallery, Peckham London.

Martin has many years of teaching experience as a Lead Tutor within Foundation Studies and also as Director of Studies for Orientation to Art and Design at CSM. He completed his Postgraduate Certificate of Education in 2010.
