You've read the advice of the beauty editors in the magazines - now come and join this makeup artist course at London College of Fashion.

We'll demystify the beauty industry for you and help you find your way around the cosmetics counter. Through demonstrations and hands-on workshops, this makeup course will help you find the best ways to create fun and fashionable looks with cosmetics.


The course includes:

  • Understanding skin types and product information
  • Creating a no makeup look
  • Creating a natural beauty makeup look
  • Attaching false lashes
  • Recreating a current fashion makeup look
  • Creating a party/club style makeup look

Our makeup courses take place in our makeup studios housed within our Lime Grove site in West London.

Level:

Beginners. You should have an interest in the subject area and a desire to learn but no previous experience is required.


Booking:

Your course place is confirmed once you have booked online or via the phone using a credit or debit card. There is no deadline for booking. Places are offered on a first come, first served basis, and all courses have a maximum number of students. We suggest you book early to avoid disappointment.


MAC Cosmetics:

As part of your course, you will receive an invite to a MAC Cosmetics discount shopping session which will enable you to purchase MAC products at discounted price. The shopping session may take place either during your course or in some cases the following week or weekend.

Tutor Description


Ruth Brophy graduated in ‘Make up for Film, TV and Theatre’, a course covering all aspects of working in film and television including prosthetics, wounds, body painting and tattoo work. She now works freelance on fashion editorial shoots, advertising campaigns and fashion week shows and has worked with photographers including David Bailey, Rankin and Nick Knight. Ruth also works in television and specialises in tattoo and body painting. Her magazine and newspaper commissions include Closer, Company, Dazed and Confused, Esquire, Elle Japan, Grazia, Huffington Post, Home & Garden, Hello, Harpers Bazaar, id Magazine, Marie Claire, New York magazine, Notion, Oprah magazine, Sunday Independent Style, Sunday Times Style, Tatler magazine, Vogue British, Vogue India, Wallpaper*. Ruth was recently Head of Design for fashion photographer Elaine Constantine's first feature film Northern Soul. You can also view Ruth's work on her website.

Course price includes a high quality 12 piece Bdellium brush set.
