Fashion Design and Styling for 13 to 16 Year Olds Short Course

Course description

This course is ideal if you are considering fashion or styling as a future career, if you have a passion for fashion and the fashion industry, or simply wish to try something new. Upon completion, you will have a greater understanding of the processes involved with fashion design and communication, including research and development, 3D experimentation, styling, customising your own garment and developing a project that you can use in your portfolio for further applications. You will explore the process very much in the spirit of Central Saint Martins, where your own personal and explorative approach will be celebrated.

This promises to be an exciting and unique experience for any 13-16 year-old who is:

  • Interested in developing their own creativity
  • Building a portfolio for future studies
  • Confident in learning from their mistakes
  • Keen to work with students of different nationalities
  • Willing to work and collaborate with others during projects
  • Wishing to develop their skills in communicating ideas.

Central Saint Martins is internationally famous for fashion design. Ex-students include Stella McCartney, Alexander McQueen, Matthew Williamson and John Galliano, to name just a few.
