Fashion Drawing For Absolute Beginners
In this fashion drawing for absolute beginners short course you will learn that the ability to get your designs on paper is crucial for anyone who wants to become a fashion designer. If you think you can't draw or are frustrated by your inability to translate the ideas in your head into sketches that can become part of your fashion portfolio, this course is for you, the complete beginner.
Starting from the basics you will be trained in how to draw and illustrate in a variety of mediums from pencil and charcoal to coloured tools including coloured pencils and acrylic paints. The sessions will cover a variety of drawing techniques such as blind continuous line drawing, colour blocking, collage, and scaled drawings for a more creative outcome.
Creativity in this week is encouraged however, there will be one day dedicated to technical, measured drawings of the fashion figure.
You will leave the course having produced a mass of drawings / illustrations showcasing the week. This short course is a great experimental introduction and stepping stone on to more open, expressive fashion drawing / illustration classes at the College.
Who should take this course?:
