This course will give you a flavour of the mix of various fashion skills needed in the design process encouraged in fashion design classes at Central Saint Martins. A personal approach will be key. You'll learn how to do visual research for fashion in order to realise your concepts. It is suitable for beginners as well as intermediate students.
The projects are designed to help you with your portfolio. Each daily workshop will lead you to design your own unique fashion collection. You will learn how to experiment, communicate, expand your skills, use your individuality and realise original fashion ideas.

Who should take this course?
The course will suit beginners who have not designed before or those with more experience who want to see what it is like to experience the design process at CSM.

Level: Beginners as well as more experienced students who feel they need a new challenge.

Audrey Ang has enjoyed a long fashion career designing womenswear for Yohji Yamamoto in London, Paris and Tokyo. Her own accessories labels sold worldwide in high fashion stores such as Selfridges, Harrods, Harvey Nichols, Printemps, Saks 5th Avenue and Neiman Marcus with clients such as Kate Moss, Christy Turlington and Neneh Cherry. A diverse and creative freelancer, she works sometimes for film, editorial shoots, accessory projects (including for Louis Vuitton) and in recent years for some of the UK's top florists for high profile weddings, editorial and events. She has tutored for several years at Central Saint Martins teaching various levels in fashion design, accessory and costume jewellery design and fashion styling. her own work has featured frequently in Vogue UK, Vogue Paris, W magazine, V magazine, Harper's Bazaar, Spur, Glamour, Elle, Elle Deco, Time Out, The Sunday Times, The Telegraph, In Style, Marie Claire and i-D.

- Small Notebook
- A3 layout paper pad
- 3B art pencil
- Colouring materials (no paints but instead felt tips, crayons, pastels, etc.)
- Masking tape
- Scissors for paper and fabric
- Digital camera for collecting research - This is needed EVERY day
- USB key stick
