New Fashion Technologies
This unique course is an opportunity to explore how technology is shaping fashion and the emerging field of fashion technology - from the way we make things to how we consume them. Technology is being used more commonly now in the fashion industry, and this course will give you the opportunity to experience first-hand some of the latest emerging technologies as well as examine the implications of these technologies on the way we live, design and learn in a hybrid digital-physical world. The technologies you will see include Virtual/Augmented Reality, programmable matter (robotics), connected objects (IoT), 3D printing and body scanning, and how they are influencing new generations of wearable designs and fashion products. The course will be taught in the Digital Anthropology Lab at London College of Fashion.
