Topics covered

You will have the opportunity to create your own blog on a platform created for the course. One day will be spent with a technician who will help the students to personalize a Wordpress or Blogger theme, as well as looking into customizing themes. We will also look at very basic HTML code. Students will be introduced to the key components of online writing, including hyperlinks, categories, and tags. We will look at using social media to promote a blog and its content.

There will be a session on blogging for business: its purpose, how to create content, and how to use it to maximize sales.
