Window Display Skills
This course will give participants the opportunity to learn the basic principles of display and the techniques required to create professional looking window displays.
This course is more practical than theoretical, exposing participants to the art of dressing mannequins and product placement.
This course includes:
- Communicating the Brand ID
- Identify visual merchandising techniques
- Understanding the use of mannequins within the retail environment
- Window themes
- Prop design
- Understand focal points within a store
- Creating a 3D window
Beginners. You should have an interest in the subject area and a desire to learn but no previous experience is required.
Please note: This course is for students aged 18 and older.
Your course place is confirmed once you have booked online or via the phone using a credit or debit card. There is no deadline for booking. Places are offered on a first come, first served basis, and all courses have a maximum number of students. We suggest you book early to avoid disappointment.
Debbie Flowerday has been a visual merchandiser for many years; her knowledge and experience of the display and visual merchandising industry is extensive. She has worked globally for well known retailers including Max Mara, Mary Quant, Estée lauder, Top Shop, Gucci and Royal Worcester. Her key skills include Visual Merchandising, Window Concept and Product Styling, Retail Design, Store Layout, Interior Design, Exhibition, Product Styling, Photographic Styling, Events & Product Launches and VM Training & Guidelines.
In order to fully participate in the practical exercises please bring the following materials/equipment to the first class:
- Notebook and pen
- Selection of magazines
- Coloured pens and a camera
