This course gives you an understanding of how to work with Cut, Make and Trim (CMT) production units / manufacturers. You will have an understanding of construction but want to gain knowledge of the type of terminology and process required when working with fashion production units.

There is a visit to a fashion CMT unit that produces clothing for high end designers.

Fashion graduate, aspiring fashion designers; those that want to gain and understanding of fashion clothing production.

Entry requirements: Students need to have a basic understating of construction although this is a beginners course they will need to know basic fashion garment terminology.

Level: Beginners

Tutor Description

Jennifer Williams-Baffoe is an international fashion and creative industry business consultant and has worked for many organisations such as The Fashion and Textiles Museum, The British Fashion Council and The British Apparel and Textile Confederation. Jennifer is a short course tutor at Central Saint Martins and The London College of Fashion and is the author of The British Fashion Councils Designer Manufacturer Handbook. Jennifer is also a consultant for the United Nations on their Ethical Fashion Initiative Project
