Graphic Design for 16 to 18 Year Olds (Weekend)
This weekend course is aimed at enthusiastic and open-minded students seeking a brief but rigorous introduction to the world of graphic design. Through a series of lectures and short practical exercises, important areas within the subject are explained and linked together.
Avoiding the computer and returning to first principles, your creativity and ability to generate ideas will be tested and developed through a set of design briefs exploring typography, colour, layout and grids.
Each brief requires visual research, concept generation, concept development and presentation of final design solutions—offering you a flavour of a real-life graphic project. By jumping in, you will not only gain an understanding of graphic design but also glimpse your own potential. Although intense, this is a weekend not to be missed.
Please note: This course is for students aged 16 to 18 years old only
