Graphic Design for 13 - 16 year olds will explore the world of visual communication as you unravel the possibilities of graphic design. You'll leave with a body of design work and new-found skills that can be put towards building a design portfolio.
Through a series of fun and engaging workshops, you will experiment with a range of hands on materials and processes.
You will develop your drawing, push your printmaking, tinker with your typography and focus on your photography. With this array of materials, you will let your imagination run free and find new ways of expressing and communicating your ideas.
We'll encourage you to develop your ideas through brainstorming and visual research, with an off-site visit to feed your inspiration.
You'll leave with a small body of work and a broader understanding of the possibilities offered by working in the area of graphic design. You will have gained skills that can be used in building a future portfolio.

This course is scheduled to run on campus in a face to face delivery format. Please note that due to the ongoing pandemic situation this course may be adapted in line with UK government guidance or other operational requirements. This may include changing course location (to another UAL site), cancellation of the course, or moving part or all of the course online. In the event of any changes being required we will inform you as soon as possible and support you in any changes required. You will need an Adobe ID to participate on the course.
You can set this up before the course starts at https://www.adobe.com/uk/ and select ‘Get an Adobe ID'.
If you already have an Adobe ID, please check your login details still work.
You do not need to subscribe to the software. This is free to students when studying in college on any UAL networked computer.
Please remember to write your login details down safely and bring these along on the first day of your course.
