Adobe InDesign is a widely used application for designing page layouts for print or screens to a professional standard. This practical, two-day course will teach you the techniques professionals use to create spectacular publications through a series of demonstrations and exercises.

Rick Cordell has extensive knowledge and experience of editorial design and photography. He has lectured at the University of the Arts London for over 14 years. He worked on the the BA (Hons) Magazine Publishing course for 10 years where subjects included magazine design and production, editorial photography and content generation. He has taught many short courses including Photoshop, InDesign and stop motion animation.
He is also a sessional tutor for the borough of Tower Hamlets’ IdeaStore Learning, teaching many aspects of photography including courses in portrait, product and digital photography as well as traditional darkroom techniques.
Prior to teaching Rick ran his own successful business specialising in editorial and corporate portraiture. He was commissioned both nationally and internationally by many of London’s leading design groups and his corporate executive portraits made him a frequent visitor to many of the capital’s top FTSE 100 company boardrooms.
He is currently working, in collaboration with a colleague, to establish a video production company that specialises in short video films and embraces the exciting trend towards the moving image, focusing on its importance in corporate communication and social media.
