User Experience (UX) Design (Online Short Course)
Learn how to design delightful user experiences in partnership with designers and communications professionals. This UX design online course is ideal you for you if customers are key to your business and you want to design effectively for them. Learning will be informed by the lean method; you will start by examining users and exploring research techniques, the analysing and integrating user testing at every step of the design, to teach you powerful user experience design skills.
You will learn to sketch web experience working on a live brief, based on existing customer research, and you will also have the opportunity to apply what you have learned to your own projects
This is a practical course to help you design user-centered experiences efficiently, following lean methods. To get the most out of this course you will be expected to complete weekly homework assignments taking a minimum of 1.5 hours a week

Really enjoyed the classes and was introduced to many new things. An excellent tutor, and lots of supporting docs/info too. Sometimes hard to find all time necessary to complete homework assignments - but I did enjoy them.

Andrea Caporale is User Experience Manager at the University of the Arts London (UAL), currently working across multiple projects within UAL's digital transformation programme.
He is a multidisciplinary designer with a background in typography, architecture, digital and programming, and loves to be challenged with complex user experience and service design problems. He is also a self-confessed lover of data.
Before UAL he worked for the Food and Agriculture Organisation, the largest United Nations (UN) specialised agency for 7 years. In that time he revamped the FAO.org portal, rolled out a global collaboration platform and consolidated more than 50 technical applications. Andrea also led on design aspects for the UN in Rome as part of UN wide initiatives.
Before working at the UN, Andrea worked for the digital agency Interactive1, providing design expertise to public sector clients.
When not busy designing something, Andrea loves to roller-skate, climb, travel and take photos. He owns a dog and has been a scout leader for more than 10 years.
