Autodesk Maya: An Introduction
This course is a great introduction to Autodesk Maya 3D animation, the software behind Frozen and the special effects in Game of Thrones. Taught through demos and hands-on workshops, by the end of the course you will be able to create a simple 3D environment with texture and light.
Maya 3D animation, modelling, simulation and rendering software offers artists a comprehensive creative tool set. These tools provide a starting point to realise your vision in modelling, animation, lighting and VFX. You will get to grips with Maya's interface, learning how to navigate the interface, use various tools, edit objects and setup a scene with lights.

Florian Stephens is a visiting Lecturer in the School of Media at LCC and a freelance 3D graphics artist and designer. He specialises in high quality 3D modelling and animation, from photorealistic imagery and visualisation, to stylistic animation for TV and web-based 3D virtual assets.
Florian has an extensive portfolio of 3D projects which demonstrates his work for clients such as the Daily Telegraph Homes Magazine, Rimmel and MTV.
